Assistant manager – collections / recovery

Key responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate collection activities for due and outstanding payments.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Prepare collection reports and analyze recovery performance.
- Coordinate with sales, finance, and customer service teams.
- Lead and supervise collection officers and support staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years in the banking/finance sector, with sound knowledge of international money transfers, collections, and foreign exchange transactions / excel pivot table formulas.
- Fluent in English and Sinhala, Tamil will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/accounting systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
