Core responsibilities

1. Prepare and maintain product costing sheets and cost estimates.
2. Analyze raw material, labor, overhead, and production costs.
3. Monitor inventory valuation and stock movement.
4. Assist in preparing budgets and variance analysis reports.
5. Compare actual costs against standard/budgeted costs and identify variances.
6. Coordinate with procurement and production departments regarding material usage and pricing.
7. Support pricing decisions by providing accurate cost analysis.
8. Maintain costing records and documentation for audit purposes.
9. Prepare monthly costing and profitability reports.
10. Assist in ERP system updates related to costing and inventory.
11. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
12. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.

Candidate profile

1. Part qualification in CA Sri Lanka/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management is an added advantage.
3. 1-3 years of experience in costing, finance, or accounting.
4. Strong knowledge of costing principles and inventory management.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
6. Good analytical and communication skills.
7. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
