About the company

Ferentino Industrial Tyres (Private) Limited is a BOI approved solid tyres manufacturing company situated in Biyagama Export Processing Zone.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger entries.
2. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
3. Help prepare financial statements, reports, and cost analysis for management.
4. Assist in cost accounting, including tracking production costs and analyzing variances.
5. Reconcile inventory data, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
6. Process supplier invoices, employee reimbursements, and maintain accounts payable records.
7. Support accounts receivable by preparing customer invoices and tracking collections.
8. Assist in budget preparation and monitor actual spending against budgeted figures.
9. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
10. Assist in internal and external audit preparation and respond to audit queries.
11. Maintain accurate records in the ERP/accounting system and generate necessary reports.
12. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, production) to resolve financial discrepancies.
13. Any other management assignments.

Key requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field.
2. Fully qualified or passed finalist CA / CIMA / ACCA.
3. Five (05) years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
4. Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and familiarity with cost accounting and inventory management.
5. Experience in liaison with inland revenue on matters relating to tax registrations and tax filing and other submissions in RAMIS.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work with a cross-functional team.
7. Working experience in SAP, ERP and MYOB system is an added advantage.
