Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced maintenance officer specialized in vehicle maintenance to oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of company vehicles and support general maintenance activities.

Job role

1. Manage routine inspections, servicing, and repair coordination for company vehicles.
2. Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance for vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
3. Source and procure vehicle spare parts, tires, tools, and maintenance-related supplies in a cost-effective manner.
4. Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, maintenance history, fuel consumption, and trip reports.
5. Coordinate roadside assistance and urgent garage repairs to minimize operational downtime.
6. Supervise and coordinate other maintenance activities related to painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and air-conditioning repairs.
7. Conduct regular inspections of warehouses, and operational sites to identify maintenance requirements and safety concerns.
8. Ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance work by internal technicians and external service providers.
9. Liaise with garages, contractors, suppliers, and other external parties to ensure quality service and timely support.
10. Monitor maintenance expenses and support cost control initiatives.
11. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety standards and operational procedures.

Job requirement

1. Passed GCE A/L examination.
2. Minimum 6+ years of experience in a similar role.
3. Male candidates aged 30+ preferred.
4. Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and building/facility upkeep.
5. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical maintenance is an added advantage.
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and efficiently.
8. Applicants must hold a valid driving license for both motorcycles (clutch) and light motor vehicles (heavy vehicle license an added advantage).
