Branch Operations Incharge (Assistant Manager Grade)

As a Branch Operations Incharge, to ensure the uninterrupted and compliant functioning of daily branch operations, particularly in the absence of the Branch Manager. This role serves as the operational lead, overseeing teller and back-office functions, maintaining high standards of customer service, enforcing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance framework. You will report directly to the Branch Manager and be part of a dynamic team of professionals in the non-banking financial services sector. The job role

1. Oversee and coordinate day-to-day branch operations, ensuring adherence with SOPs.
2. Oversee the safe operations and dual-key control process of the branch. Monitor teller activities, gold loan operations, transaction processing, and documentation accuracy.
3. Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and CBSL directions.
4. Lead customer service delivery and resolve issues at branch level.
5. Supervise and guide branch staff in the absence of the branch manager.
6. Coordinate with finance, gold loan, deposits, and admin departments on branch-related matters.
7. Act as the designated branch operations lead during manager absence.
8. Support audit processes and maintain zero tolerance for critical violations.

Experience / qualifications / skills

1. A degree or part/full qualification in banking, finance, or business administration.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in branch operations, preferably in the financial services sector.
3. In-depth knowledge of compliance, dual-control processes, teller operations, and CBSL regulatory requirements.
4. Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle operational escalations efficiently.
