Lanmic group is diversified conglomerate consisting one BOI company and three local companies manufacturing and island wide distributing value added minerals mainly calcium carbonate and calcium magnesium carbonate as fillers and performance materials for many industries. Established in 1998, it is pioneer raw material supplier for various industries from three locations from Avissawella and one from Kaluthara.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Prepare costing and estimation for plant operation and maintenance jobs.
2. Provide technical guidance and advice to subordinates and team members.
3. Perform a technical, organizational, and supervisory role on day-to-day operation maintenance and ongoing projects, including project development, on the job technical advice for subordinator’s, team members.
4. Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
5. Conduct research and testing to determine the feasibility of new designs.
6. Analyze data and create reports to document findings.

Education required

1. BSc/HNDE/NDT/TTI (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.

Experience and skills required

1. Minimum 4 or 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity in a recognized firm.
2. Work experience in a BOI company would be an added advantage.
3. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
4. Experience in costing and estimation for plant operations and maintenance.
5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
6. Supervisory experience in day-to-day operations and project development.
7. Ability to work independently under minimum supervision.
