Head of Technical Services
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical services function with a stronger focus on business opportunity development across projects, RMC, institutional and retail segments.
- Prospect and develop new B2B and retail project opportunities through engagement with consultants, contractors, developers, project owners and RMC plants, and drive specifications, approvals and technical acceptance to create a strong pipeline for the sales team.
- Provide technical support, application guidance and solutioning to customers to ensure product performance and service excellence.
- Work closely with sales, quality, plant and logistics teams to support conversion of opportunities and effective project execution.
- Lead customer complaint resolution, if any, root-cause analysis and corrective actions to enhance customer confidence and strengthen market reputation.
Requirements
- BSc Eng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from a reputed and recognized university.
- Strong knowledge of cement, concrete and construction applications.
- A strong techno-commercial orientation with the ability to influence projects through technical engagement.
- Proven ability to engage consultants, contractors, project customers and RMC players and influence projects at an early stage.
- Good understanding of project specifications, approvals, technical solutioning and customer servicing.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the construction and related sector, including 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Language proficiency in Sinhala and English; Tamil will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO management systems and SLS product certifications/audits will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Age below 45 years.
