Senior Executive – Maintenance

About the company

We are a leading manufacturer, exporter, importer & supplier of premium quality veterinary health products to the livestock industry of Sri Lanka and to the international market, and are looking for energetic, ambitious & self-motivated candidate to be a part of energetic Farmchemie team.

Key responsibilities

1. Maintain strong daily floor presence and monitor machine performance.
2. Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
3. Lead machine breakdown handling and conduct root cause analysis.
4. Supervise, coach, and develop the maintenance team.
5. Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
6. Monitor and report maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and PM compliance.
7. Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Qualifications & experience

1. Degree or HND in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Experience handling multi-machine and multi-line production operations.
4. Hands-on experience with industrial milling, mixing, or processing equipment.
5. Proven experience in implementing and improving planned maintenance systems.
6. Experience in leading and developing maintenance teams.
7. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
8. Knowledge of root cause analysis methods (5 why, fishbone, etc.).
9. Ability to prepare and manage maintenance schedules and records.
10. KPI-focused and target-oriented approach.
11. Good communication skills with operational teams and management.
12. Knowledge of maintenance planning systems / CMMS preferred.
