Accountant

Requirements

1. Advance proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
2. At least 1-2 years of experience in UK accounting and Australian experience will be an added advantage
3. Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
4. Ability to work independently & quick learner
5. Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
6. Professional academic qualification

Role

1. Handling the accounts payable function
2. Prepare and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
3. Prepare and process electronic fund transfers (EFT), BPAY, cheques, and credit card payments
4. Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time
5. Process employee payroll in line with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) requirements
6. Month end journal postings
7. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
8. Ensure compliance with statutory obligations including UK VAT returns, RTI submission and payroll tax
9. Maintain the general ledger, journals, and subsidiary accounts
10. Perform regular supplier, and ledger reconciliation
