Senior Accountant

About the company

Surya Lanka Beach Hotel, a pioneering hotel established in 1995 and catering mostly to European clientele has a vacancy for a senior accountant. The selected candidate will be overseeing the accounts departments of both the Talalla and Tangalle properties of Surya Lanka.

Job role

1. Preparation of weekly, monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
2. Liaise and represent the company with external auditors and banks and ensure accurate documentation.
3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
4. Prepare budgets, forecasts, cost control measures and filter accurate data for management decision making.

Requirements

1. 40-60 years of age.
2. Partly/fully qualified in CIMA, CA Sri Lanka or bachelors degree in accountancy, finance, management or similar.
3. Previous experience in the hotel industry preferred.
4. Minimum 10 years experience in similar position in reputed companies.
