Production Manager

We are a leading seafood processing & export company based in Negombo, seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead our production operations, drive efficiency, maintain product quality, and ensure the highest food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

2. Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to meet export order requirements and delivery schedules.
3. n
4. Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMP, BRCGS/IFS, and customer food safety standards.
5. n
6. Monitor and control production yield, wastage, productivity, and labor costs.
7. n
8. Lead and supervise production teams, including line supervisors and operators.
9. n
10. Manage shift operations, workforce allocation, overtime, and employee performance.
11. n
12. Oversee cold storage facilities, blast freezers, and processing equipment.
13. n
14. Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth operations.
15. n
16. Prepare daily production, efficiency, yield, and wastage reports for management review.

Requirements

n

1. n
2. Degree/HND in food technology, food science, fisheries technology, or related field.
3. n
4. Minimum 5 years’ experience in seafood, fish, meat, or food processing industry.
5. n
6. Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, BRCGS/IFS, and export requirements.
7. n
8. Proven leadership skills with experience managing production teams.
9. n
10. Good communication skills in Sinhala & English (Tamil is an advantage).
