Electrician

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for this position at Colombo Dockyard PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading shipbuilding and ship repair company.

Basic qualifications

1. Should have passed G.C.E. (O/L) examination and have experience in electrical motor mechanics (C) or passed G.C.E. (A/L) examination/science and technology stream.
2. Should have successfully completed a relevant electrical apprenticeship course at the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) or German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) or a recognized technical college.

Additional qualifications

1. Possession of NVQ – 4 certificate for electrician position.
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field.
3. Applicants who have continuously worked in large-scale engineering industries will be given preference at the technical level.

Disqualifications

1. Not having worked primarily as an electrician.

Age requirement

Age between 25 and 35 years. Must be in good physical health.
