Assistant Accountant

Responsibilities

1. Bookkeeping & financial record maintenance.
2. Prepare the annual budget and manage actuals accordingly.
3. Manage vendor payments, collections and provide cash flow projection to the board.
4. Ensure necessary process controls are in place.
5. Communicate and coordinate with overseas clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

1. +2 years experience in similar capacity of a service organization.
2. Experience with shipping industry is an added advantage.
3. Strong understanding in accounting entries and general ledger postings.
4. Proficiency in QuickBooks.
5. Hands on experience with MS office packages (Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.).

Qualification

1. Part qualification from CA Sri Lanka (Cert. Business Accountant or higher), ACCA or
2. Full qualification of AAT
