Senior Accountant – Southern Africa

A leading and fast-growing hotel group operating multiple hospitality properties in Southern Africa is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of senior accountant;

Key responsibilities

2. Oversee daily accounting operations for the hotel group.
3. n
4. Supervise hotel accountants and finance teams across all properties.
5. n
6. Monitor revenue reconciliations, cash controls, and bank reconciliations.
7. n
8. Manage creditors, debtors, payrolls, and statutory obligations.
9. n
10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
11. n
12. Monitor inventory controls, food cost analysis, and operational expenditures.
13. n
14. Prepare cash flow reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
15. n
16. Support management with operational and financial analysis.
17. n
18. Strengthen internal controls and accountability systems.

Minimum requirements

n

1. n
2. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar senior accounting position.
3. n
4. Proven experience within the hotel/hospitality industry is mandatory.
5. n
6. Professional qualification (partly qualified or fully qualified) from a recognized body such as: ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
7. n
8. Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems, stock controls, and revenue management.
9. n
10. High levels of integrity, accountability, professionalism and meet strict deadlines.
