Chief operating officer (COO)

C.M.S. Ladies’ College is a government-approved educational institution within the Diocese of Colombo, Church of Ceylon. The Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) is an independent department functioning under Ladies’ College and offers a range of diploma and certificate programmes and after school activities.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee finance, administration and human resources
2. Manage and supervise day-to-day operations
3. Develop new academic programmes and promote existing programmes
4. Drive institutional growth

Required qualifications and experience

1. A degree from a recognised university or a professional qualification equivalent to a degree
2. Minimum of 5–7 years experience in a senior management or leadership capacity
3. Experience in educational/training institutions or academic administration will be an added advantage
4. Proven ability to independently manage operations, oversee finances, lead teams, and ensure compliance with academic and regulatory standards
