The role

Reporting to senior leadership, the selected candidate will provide strategic direction and operational leadership across quality assurance and research & development functions. This role demands a forward-thinking professional capable of driving innovation, ensuring uncompromising quality standards, and strengthening the organization’s position in both local and international markets.

Key accountabilities

1. Provide end-to-end leadership of QA & R&D, aligning with corporate strategy and growth objectives.
2. Champion world-class food safety, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
3. Lead product innovation and process enhancement for local and export markets.
4. Drive and sustain internationally recognized certifications including BRC, FSSC, and SMETA.
5. Ensure full compliance with regulatory frameworks governing the edible oil and fat production process.
6. Spearhead a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and innovation.
7. Mentor and develop high-performing teams while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Candidate profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in bioscience, food science, or a related discipline.
2. Master’s degree (MSc) in a relevant field is essential; exposure to general management disciplines will be a distinct advantage.
3. A minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry, including at least 8 years in a senior managerial capacity.
4. Demonstrated expertise managing products across both export and local markets.
5. Strong command of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks within the edible oil sector.
6. Proven track record with global certifications such as BRCGS, FSSC 22000, GMP and SMETA.
7. Exceptional leadership presence, strategic thinking, and decision-making capability.
8. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and team leadership skills.
