Assistant manager – stores (Mathugama industrial zone)

We are an ISO certified company engaged in manufacturing high quality electrical products, lighting and cable management systems for over 45 years. We are looking for a dynamic and results oriented individual to join our team to take over the challenges of the following position.

As assistant manager – stores you will play a vital role having overall responsibilities of stocks of raw material and finished good, overseeing the daily operation of stores making sure it runs smoothly and effectively.

Key responsibilities

1. Taking overall responsibility to assure availability of raw material and finished goods at stores and update shortages.
2. Supervise daily warehouse operation including raw material and finished goods inventory, space management and productivity of goods issuing.
3. Schedule and oversee warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency.
4. Liaise with sales team and logistic team to issue finished good on time to meet the on time delivery.
5. Maintain stock accuracy at any given time.
6. Be up to date with the SAP ERP with regard to stocks receive and issue and stocks balance.
7. Provide required information and management report to management.

Key requirements

1. Degree or diploma in the relevant field.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with communication skill in English language.
4. Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
5. Knowledge in SAP ERP system and electrical products would be a distinct advantage.
6. A male candidate age between 30 – 40 years.
