Billing Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Billing Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing invoices, maintaining billing records, supporting collections, and ensuring accurate and timely billing processes.

Key responsibilities

  1. Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  2. Verify and review billing data, price lists, and contracts before invoicing.
  3. Maintain billing records, files, and documentation in an organized manner.
  4. Follow up with customers on outstanding payments and support the collections process.
  5. Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
  6. Process credit notes, debit notes, and other billing adjustments as required.
  7. Support month-end closing activities and prepare billing reports.
  8. Coordinate with sales, finance, and other departments to ensure smooth billing operations.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  1. G.C.E. A/L qualification or equivalent.
  2. Diploma or certificate in accounting, finance, or a related field will be an added advantage.
  3. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable.
  4. Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and billing procedures.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
  6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
