Executive business development (Colombo 3)

About the company

American premium water, the pioneer in Sri Lanka’s bottled water industry & a market leader in the FMCG sector in Sri Lanka with a staff strength of over 1200, with an extended reach across logistics & SCM, construction, polymer packaging sectors within Sri Lanka as well as other asian markets, is looking for executive business development for immediate employment. The ideal candidate should be dynamic, highly motivated, and results oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities

1. Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand market presence.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key clients.
3. Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.
4. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
5. Develop and execute sales strategies and promotional plans.
6. Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, and marketing) to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
7. Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses.
8. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.

Qualifications & experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
2. 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the food and beverage or FMCG industry.
3. Strong understanding of market dynamics and distribution channels.
4. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
5. Proficiency in MS office (especially excel and powerpoint).
6. Valid driving license (preferred).
