Site supervisor

About the project

We are seeking an experienced and reliable site supervisor to oversee the construction of a proposed warehouse facility in Ambatale. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards throughout the project duration.

Key responsibilities

1. Supervise daily site activities and manage subcontractors and labour
2. Monitor construction progress against project schedule and report deviations promptly
3. Ensure all work conforms to approved engineering drawings and specifications
4. Inspect and approve rebar, formwork, and concrete pours at critical stages
5. Monitor and verify material deliveries against the bill of quantities (BOQ)
6. Maintain a daily site diary including photographs and progress updates
7. Enforce health, safety, and site discipline standards at all times
8. Liaise directly with the project owner and structural engineer on technical matters
9. Flag and escalate any structural or quality concerns immediately

Requirements

1. Minimum 2 years site supervision experience
2. Experience in warehouse or industrial construction preferred
3. Ability to read and interpret structural drawings
4. Knowledge of concrete, rebar, and foundation work
5. Strong communication and leadership skills
6. Proficiency in daily reporting (written or app-based)
7. HND / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
8. Able to commit full-time on-site for project duration
