Production Executive | Production Supervisor – Kandana Factory

We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Production Executive/ Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on supervising and optimizing operations across edible oil refining and specialty fats production including hydrogenation, interesterification, fractionation, and margarine processing.

Key responsibilities

1. Operational management: Plan, organize and monitor daily production activities in line with production schedules and job orders to ensure timely and efficient output.
2. Team leadership: Supervise, motivate and develop production staff to achieve high performance and productivity.
3. Quality assurance: Ensure all production processes comply with quality standards, product specifications and company policies.
4. Resource allocation: Efficiently utilize manpower, raw materials and machinery to minimize costs and maximize productivity.
5. Health & safety: Enforce compliance: Maintain and enforce adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
6. Continuous improvement: Identify improvement opportunities and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
7. Reporting: Prepare and present accurate production and performance reports to management.

Qualifications and skills

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in manufacturing, production/ industrial engineering or a related field.
2. Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing industry is required.
3. Process & technical knowledge: Knowledge of edible oil refining, hydrogenation, interesterification, fractionation and the processing of margarine, bakery shortening and fat spreads. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma will be an added advantage.
4. Technical skills: Proficiency in manufacturing processes, industry standard equipment, and technical expertise.
5. Leadership: Skills and ability to manage teams in a factory environment.
6. Problem-solving: Strong analytical and decision making skills to handle complex operational challenges.
7. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
