We are in search of an experienced professional to take responsibility for managing and overseeing the import / export department, ensuring smooth international trade operations, regulatory compliance, and efficient coordination of all import and export activities.

Job profile

1. Manage and oversee all export and import operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
2. Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, and regulatory authorities.
3. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
4. Monitor shipment schedules, freight costs, and inventory movement.
5. Negotiate shipping terms, freight rates, and service agreements with logistics providers.
6. Prepare and review import/export documentation including invoices, packing lists, permits, and customs declarations.
7. Develop and improve logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
8. Lead and supervise the import/export team to ensure operational excellence.

Candidate profile

1. Minimum 10 -12 years of experience in export/import operations, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
2. Strong knowledge of customs regulations, shipping procedures, and international trade documentation.
3. Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
4. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
5. Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in supply chain, logistics, international business, or a related field will be an added qualification.
6. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
7. Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
