Buyer / Senior Buyer – Fashion Retail

Thilakma is looking for experienced and dynamic buyers / senior buyers to join our growing retail team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in fashion retail, with a proven track record in both clothing and non-clothing categories.

Key responsibilities

1. Develop and execute effective buying strategies aligned with business goals
2. Source, select, and purchase a wide range of fashion and non-fashion products
3. Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity
4. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts
5. Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability
6. Work closely with merchandising and sales teams to maximize profitability
7. Plan seasonal collections and product assortments
8. Ensure product quality and timely delivery

Requirements

1. Proven experience as a buyer or senior buyer in fashion retail
2. Strong knowledge of clothing and non-clothing product categories
3. Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
4. Ability to interpret market trends and consumer behavior
5. Strong communication and relationship management skills
6. Degree or professional qualification in business, fashion, or a related field (preferred)
