Megakem Engineering (Private) Limited is Sri Lanka’s leading manufacturer and applicator of construction chemicals, operating both locally and overseas, and a proud member of Wardena Venture Holdings (Private) Limited. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a quantity surveyor.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee the preparation of bills of quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and tender documentation for all projects.
2. Review project budgets and monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Evaluate and certify subcontractor quotations, claims, and variations.
4. Conduct detailed project cost analysis to support management decision-making.
5. Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure contractual and financial compliance.
6. Provide strategic input in tender evaluations and project bidding processes.
7. Prepare monthly cost reports, progress valuations, and project profitability summaries for management review.
8. Manage contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract terms.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or equivalent qualification.
2. NVQ level 6 (quantity surveying) or equivalent will be an added advantage.
3. Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in the construction industry.
4. Strong knowledge of project costing, tendering, and contract administration.
5. Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant QS software.
6. Excellent communication and analytical skills.
