Candidate profile
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG production environment.
- Degree or diploma in mechanical, mechatronics, or a related engineering field from a recognized university or technical institute.
- In-depth knowledge of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance practices to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining production machinery, including processing, filling, and packaging equipment.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems, instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, level, conductivity), and industrial automation will be a strong advantage.
- A good understanding of utility systems such as boilers, compressors, chillers, and water treatment systems will be an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively across cross functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities for machinery and equipment to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and spare parts usage.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance work with minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP).
- Supervise and guide technicians and maintenance staff on daily tasks.
- Participate in root cause analysis for recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
