Garment Technologist

Key responsibilities

1. Ensure a smooth and accurate style handover to the production plant.
2. Work closely with development teams to ensure styles are developed in production-feasible methods.
3. Collaborate with technicians and pattern makers to establish and improve technical and quality standards.
4. Support product re-engineering to achieve the most cost-effective solutions for customers.
5. Communicate with internal departments to provide a complete and efficient service for both factory and customers.
6. Conduct pre-production meetings to make sure production standards are followed.
7. Prepare and provide complete technical packs to manufacturing facilities.
8. Assist in improving production processes.
9. Manage and maintain the critical path for sample approvals.

Requirements

1. Textile degree or diploma.
2. At least 3 years’ experience with sewing, pattern making, grading, and alterations.
3. Must know marker making and the Gerber system.
4. Experience in casual and nightwear is an added advantage.
5. Good English and ability to understand customer needs and work under pressure.
