Kitchen Helper (Commis III)

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Helper (Commis III) to support our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen activities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist chefs in the preparation of ingredients for bulk meal production
- Perform basic food preparation tasks such as cutting, chopping, and portioning
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items in accordance with food safety standards
- Support packing and dispatch processes for daily meal deliveries
- Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Assist in receiving and storing raw materials and supplies
Candidate requirements
- Basic professional qualification or training in food preparation, cookery, or a related field
- 2 – 3 years previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food processing environment is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexibility to work early shifts or weekends when required
