Manager – management accounting (Fiji)

The manager management accounting is responsible for leading financial planning, budgeting, and performance analysis to support business growth and profitability. The role works closely with branch and department teams to deliver timely insights on sales, margins, costs, and inventory, while ensuring strong financial controls across operations.

Overall responsibilities

1. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis processes.
2. Supervise management accounting and ensure timely monthly reporting.
3. Drive annual budgets and periodic forecast reviews.
4. Monitor business performance, analyse variances, and provide clear recommendations.
5. Develop financial models to support planning, pricing, and investment decisions.
6. Evaluate capital projects and new business opportunities.
7. Strengthen reporting systems, including dashboards and automated reports.
8. Provide management with clear, action-oriented insights on sales, margins, and costs.
9. Partner with branch and department teams to improve performance and control risks.
10. Conduct branch and business unit performance reviews.
11. Oversee inventory control, stock write-offs, and margin management.
12. Ensure strong internal controls and compliance across operations.
13. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.

Key requirements

1. Qualification in ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA or recognized professional accounting institute.
2. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
3. Experience with ERP systems, business analytical tools, advanced Excel skills with a deep understanding of formula efficiency, pivot tables, and macros.
4. Relevant, applied experience in retail & manufacturing industry.
5. Minimum 5 years of experience in similar capacity.
