Quantity Surveyor

Key duties & responsibilities

1. Prepare BOQ, tender documents, invite tenders, and assess bids from contractors.
2. Negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favourable terms.
3. Monitor project costs and provide regular reports on project financial performance.
4. Take off the quantities to ensure accurate cost estimation and billing.
5. Analyze repair/maintenance costs and give direction for cost saving.
6. Ensure compliance, regulations and quality standards.

Key qualifications & requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or related field.
2. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management in the construction industry.
3. Candidate should be result oriented with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
4. Good communication skill in both English & Sinhala.
5. Ability to work under pressure to meet the deadlines.
