Regional Sales Manager (Eastern Province)
The ideal candidate should possess an exceptionally optimistic perspective, exhibit expertise knowledge in the sales field, demonstrate a well-rounded skillset, prioritize achieving targets, and maintain a clear understanding of their responsibilities and the final outcomes. Additionally, he should display a strong commitment to achieving company goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Work in close relation with the top management in supporting the sales plan to the organization, by providing area/region-specific data and information.
- Execute sales strategies for a given region, in consultation with the team, including zone manager, territory manager, and distributor sales representatives.
- Monitor existing distributor/channel capabilities and make suitable changes to the same to meet the required sales objectives.
- Nurture and develop sustainable relationships with distributors/dealers & customers.
- Constantly monitor competitor movements, strategies and actions in the given region and take appropriate counter measures.
- Provide inputs to the general manager operations about competitor activities in the zone, enabling him to develop pan-island counter strategies.
- Ensure development of appropriate market databases, along with the territory sales team, which include clients’ information, prospective client’s information, industrial customers, channel members.
- Review and monitor sales volumes and receivables information on a regular basis.
- Take timely and appropriate action pertaining to outstanding receivables.
- Establish and conduct sales team training and coaching programs to the team, ensuring that they are equipped with current knowledge of company products and services.
Requirements
- Should have a minimum of 5 years sales experience in lubricant, FMCG or automotive industry in a similar capacity.
- Excellent communication skills in the Tamil language.
- Professional qualifications in sales, marketing, business administration or any other related qualification will be a definite added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing, sales techniques and best practices.
- Should be able to manage and guide a team, including (territory sales managers, distributor sales representatives).
- Age below 50 years.
