Sector Finance Manager

This is a senior leadership position responsible for the financial reporting and financial planning functions of the group’s investment (portfolio and asset management) and property sector as well as certain aspects of overall group financial reporting.

Responsibilities

1. Periodic financial reporting while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations inclusive of Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) reporting.
2. Leading the finance teams within the scope of the company’s financial policies and controls in meeting the sectors strategies and objectives.
3. Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of all financial and management information including spearheading consolidated financial reporting.
4. Lead and participate in decisions regarding investment in listed equity, private equity, treasury bills, bonds and other financial instruments, while leading financial controls on the ongoing high rise property construction.
5. Carry out feasibility reports on prospective investment and property development opportunities.
6. Provide valuable decision-making support to the group’s leadership teams and hence, will be required to work closely with other functions across the organization for specific business needs.

The ideal candidate profile

1. A well-qualified finance professional preferably a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
2. Should possess at least 5 years relevant experience in a conglomerate.
3. Strong technical knowledge and a proven track record in leading finance functions in similar corporate backgrounds.
4. As a leader who will be inspiring and driving teams, you should be a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and commendable organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills.
