Medfuture is entering an exciting growth phase and is seeking a commercially driven, high-calibre finance professional to step into a strategic management accountant cum accounts receivable leadership role. This is a critical position designed for a results-oriented individual who can strengthen financial performance, improve cash-flow stability, and drive profit-focused financial discipline across multiple operational divisions.

This role goes beyond traditional accounting responsibilities. The successful candidate will partner closely with senior leadership to deliver accurate financial intelligence, operational cost optimisation, working capital improvement, and strong revenue governance across the organisation. Key responsibilities

Accounts receivable & revenue control

  1. Lead end-to-end invoicing integrity, revenue reconciliation, and debtor management.
  2. Drive proactive collection strategies to improve payment cycles and strengthen cash conversion.
  3. Implement credit control frameworks and resolve billing discrepancies effectively.
  4. Collaborate with operational teams to ensure timely revenue realisation and financial discipline.

Cost efficiency & margin management

  1. Analyse operational cost structures across divisions, teams, and individual consultants.
  2. Develop financial dashboards and cost-control mechanisms to improve profitability.
  3. Identify cost optimisation opportunities and support product/service improvement initiatives.
  4. Promote financial accountability culture across business units.

Cash-flow forecasting & financial stability

  1. Prepare accurate short-term and long-term cash-flow projections to support smooth operations.
  2. Monitor liquidity trends and provide early risk indicators to senior leadership.
  3. Support working capital planning and financial resilience strategies.

Profit-centric financial governance

  1. Contribute to capital allocation decisions through financial modelling and ROI tracking.
  2. Monitor profitability across service lines and strategic initiatives.
  3. Provide insights to strengthen pricing strategy, margin expansion, and resource utilisation.

Financial leadership for new operations & expansion

  1. Establish financial frameworks for new business units and organisational entities.
  2. Support budgeting, financial controls, and reporting integration during growth phases.
  3. Provide financial feasibility analysis and strengthen governance in expansion initiatives.

Performance outcomes expected

  1. Delivery of accurate and timely management reporting for leadership decision-making.
  2. Measurable improvement in debtor days and overall cash-flow strength.
  3. Enhanced financial visibility through structured dashboards and forecasting accuracy.
  4. Strong revenue tracking discipline and sustained cost-control culture.
  5. Tangible contribution towards organisational profitability and sustainable growth.

Required qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a professional qualification such as CA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA (MBA is an added advantage).
  2. 8–12+ years of experience in finance, with strong exposure to accounts receivable, cash-flow management, and financial planning & analysis.
  3. Proven track record in improving cash flow, reducing debtor days, and driving profitability in a service-based or recruitment environment (preferred).
  4. Strong expertise in revenue reconciliation, credit control, financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  5. Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI/Tableau).
  6. Ability to analyse cost structures, margins, and operational performance to drive efficiency and growth.
  7. Experience in financial governance, ROI analysis, pricing strategy, and business expansion support.
  8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail.
  9. Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams and communicate financial insights to senior leadership.
  10. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive financial discipline and accountability culture across the organisation.
  11. High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to perform in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
