Technical Officer – Mechanical

We are looking for a versatile and energetic individual to join us as a Technical Officer – Mechanical, to support our Power Plant Operations. The job role includes,

Responsibilities

1. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime at power plants.
2. Regular maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety of power plants.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless plant operations.
4. Strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
5. Maintain detailed records, reports, inventories and maintenance activities of power plants.
6. Support power plant supervisors in smooth power plant operations as required.

Requirements

1. Diploma in mechanical engineering / NVQ 5 or above.
2. Minimum 3 years of related experience.
3. Experience with turbines, generators and/or similar mechanical equipment.
4. Prior experience with mini hydro power plants will be an advantage.
5. Basic understanding of electrical & instrumentation interfaces with mechanical systems.
6. Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Willingness to locate at power plants and travel to power plants as required.
