Assistant Production Manager

Job summary

1. Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets in line with the production plan.
2. Supervise and support production teams to maintain efficiency, quality, and smooth workflow.
3. Optimize workforce allocation to maximize productivity and minimize operational inefficiencies.
4. Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives within the factory.
5. Monitor machinery performance and coordinate timely maintenance to avoid disruptions.
6. Manage overtime and contract labour effectively to control costs.
7. Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure adherence to 5S practices.
8. Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and all manufacturing guidelines.
9. Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing safety protocols and addressing risks proactively.
10. Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Plant Operations Head.

Eligibility criteria

1. Degree in material science, manufacturing management, supply chain management, or physical science.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment, including prior experience in managing teams.
3. Strong understanding of lead times, cycle times, and time & motion studies.
4. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI is preferred.
5. Working knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
