Job requirements
- Higher National Diploma or professional qualification in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or commercial operations will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of purchasing procedures, supplier coordination, and inventory management.
- Ability to analyze supplier quotations and negotiate prices.
- Good communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SAP systems will be an advantage.
Key responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day procurement activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Call quotations, evaluate supplier offers, and prepare comparative analyses for approvals.
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs), LPOs, and LPAs accurately.
- Maintain and update purchasing records and supplier databases.
- Coordinate with warehouse, finance, and other departments to ensure timely delivery and payments.
- Arrange contractor and subcontractor payments and follow up with suppliers.
- Monitor pending purchase orders, LPRs, and supplier outstanding lists.
- Assist in supplier sourcing, evaluation, and negotiations.
- Support inventory management activities and stock audits.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
