Assistant Swimming Coach

About the company

Ladies’ college, Colombo 07 is a private school within the church of Ceylon, diocese of Colombo and is under the purview of the education ministry of Sri Lanka. We seek a qualified, energetic and skilled coach for the vacancy below.

Key requirements

1. Recognised swimming coaching qualification (SLASU / NISS or equivalent)
2. Valid life saving / lifeguard certification
3. First aid & CPR certification
4. Experience in coaching or assisting with school-age swimmers
5. Sound knowledge of all swimming strokes and basic training techniques
6. Strong focus on water safety and student supervision
7. Ability to work effectively with female students in a school environment
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Energetic, disciplined, and a team player

Key responsibilities

1. Assist the head coach in training sessions and swim programmes
2. Ensure safe and structured coaching sessions
3. Supervise students and maintain discipline and safety at all times, promote sportsmanship and team work.
4. Support preparation for inter-school competitions and events
5. Willingness to work early mornings
