Quantity Surveyor

About the company

We are a fast-growing, mid-scale construction company engaged in building construction, road development, and infrastructure projects across Sri Lanka. With a strong commitment to quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery, we are looking for a competent and detail-oriented quantity surveyor to join our team.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents.
2. Handle project cost planning, budgeting, and cost control.
3. Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative analyses.
4. Manage interim payment applications, valuations, and final accounts.
5. Monitor project progress and ensure cost efficiency throughout the lifecycle.
6. Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and project managers.
7. Maintain proper documentation for claims, variations, and contract administration.
8. Assist in tender submissions and contract negotiations.

Required qualifications & skills

1. Degree / higher diploma in quantity surveying / construction management.
2. Minimum 2–5 years experience in a similar role (construction industry preferred).
3. Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and contract procedures.
4. Familiarity with ICTAD / CIDA guidelines and Sri Lankan construction standards.
5. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS-related software.
6. Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
