Senior Quantity Surveyor

Synergy Global Alliance (Pvt) Ltd is looking to recruit an all-round professional with proven experience in roads and highways, irrigation, water supply, bridges, and building projects. Such experience is mandatory.

Position overview

The senior quantity surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying and cost control for infrastructure and building projects. The role involves measurement, preparation of cost estimates, contract administration, variations, claims, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

1. IPA preparation
2. IPC preparation for subcontractors
3. Variations & claims preparation
4. Material reconciliation
5. Progress monitoring & reporting: Tracking project performance against established baselines and compiling of detailed progress reports for timely submission to senior management and consultants.
6. Team leadership & coordination: Direct, guide, and review the deliverables of subordinate quantity surveyors—including cost proposals and payment valuations—ensuring accuracy and alignment with project timelines.
7. Stakeholder engagement: Represent the organization in commercial and technical meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve site issues and ensure smooth project workflows.

Qualifications & requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying qualification.
2. Minimum of 8 years’ experience in quantity surveying, with strong exposure to post-construction activities.
3. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the road infrastructure or highway construction sector is required.
4. Sound knowledge and hands-on experience with FIDIC and/or local contract conditions (compulsory).
5. Possession of a chartered qualification will be considered an added advantage.
6. Strong analytical and numerical skills.
7. Excellent attention to detail.
8. Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
9. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
11. Good team collaboration and coordination skills.
