QA Engineer

Key responsibilities

1. A bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or equivalent qualification
2. A minimum of 2 years of work experience in software testing
3. Knowledge in software testing processes, practices and test design techniques
4. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, cucumber. (Added advantage)
5. Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Java (Added advantage)
6. Proven strong knowledge about object-oriented concepts, SQL and web services with tools such as SoapUI/ RestAssured (Added advantage)
7. Exposure to agile software development methodologies and best practices in agile-based testing
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
10. Flexible and able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities
11. ISTQB Foundation certified or equivalent certification (Added advantage)
12. Exposure to AI tools such as Claude AI, Cursor, etc.

Requirements

1. Perform test design and the development of test scenarios
2. Formulate and maintain test cases and defects.
3. Troubleshoots software issues using software tools.
4. Conduct peer reviews on test deliverables
5. Perform test execution, analyze test results using QA metrics and communicate test results to stakeholders
6. Contribute towards the development of test automation scripts
7. Configure and maintain test environments and continuous integration
8. Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding statuses, risks, issues, and testing progress.
