MH Holdings (Pvt) Ltd is one of Sri Lanka’s most established wholesale and retail trading companies, proudly serving the market for over three decades from our flagship premises at Dam Street, Colombo 12. We import and market our own portfolio of trusted brands across home appliances, gas cookers, rice cookers, racking systems, porcelain & glassware, consumer electronics, and gift items. As we continue to grow and strengthen our distribution network, we invite talented and driven professionals to join our expanding team.

We are seeking a results-driven and commercially astute leader to take charge of our day-to-day operations and spearhead the next phase of our business growth. Working directly alongside the Directors, this is a pivotal leadership role that carries full accountability for delivering the company’s annual business plan and elevating the business to its next level of scale.

Key responsibilities

1. Lead and deliver the annual business plan in close partnership with the Directors and ownership team.
2. Drive business development initiatives, including expansion of wholesale distribution channels across Colombo and beyond.
3. Oversee import operations – manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure timely product availability.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, importers, and trade partners.
5. Manage financial performance including budgeting, cost control, and cash flow monitoring.
6. Lead and motivate the sales, operations, and support teams to achieve business targets.
7. Identify market opportunities to expand the company’s branded product portfolio.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.

What we are looking for

1. Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in wholesale/retail trading, FMCG, consumer goods, or a closely related industry.
2. Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets in a commercial leadership role.
3. Solid understanding of import operations, supply chain management, and trade finance.
4. Strong financial acumen – ability to read, interpret, and act on financial data.
5. Proven ability to manage and develop customer and supplier relationships at a senior level.
6. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to take initiative and make commercial decisions.
8. Proficiency in sinhala and english; tamil language skills will be an added advantage.
