Production Executive
The production executive will be part of the team responsible for the production of SaaraLabs’ value added products, including beverages, extracts, and other future food and wellness formats. This individual will ensure that production is carried out efficiently, safely, consistently, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical experience in the F&B industry, a good understanding of production planning, hygiene, documentation and process control, and the ability to work in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
Production planning & operations
- Assist with the planning and managing of daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Oversee the complete production process, from raw material preparation to filling, packing, labelling, and finished goods transfer.
- Ensure production targets are met on time while maintaining required quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, QA/QC, maintenance, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor production yields, wastage, downtime, and labour efficiency.
Quality, food safety & compliance
- Ensure all production activities comply with company SOPs, GMP, HACCP, and applicable food safety standards.
- Work closely with the QA/QC team to maintain product consistency, hygiene and traceability.
- Ensure accurate batch records, production logs, cleaning records, and other required documentation are maintained.
- Identify and report deviations, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
Required qualifications & experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the food & beverage industry, preferably in beverages, nutraceuticals, dairy, juices, sauces, spices, or FMCG manufacturing.
- Diploma or degree in food science, food technology, manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or a related field would be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and production documentation.
- Practical understanding of filling, packing, labelling, batch processing, and shelf-stable food or beverage production.
- Ability to work with production targets, timelines, and quality requirements.
- Good communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Computer literacy, especially MS Excel and basic production reporting.
Preferred skills
- Experience in beverage manufacturing, extraction, or value added spice products.
- Exposure to FSSC 22000, BRCGS, ISO 22000, or similar certification environments.
- Experience supporting product trials, scale-up, and new product launches.
- Ability to work in a growing business where systems are being built and improved.
- Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to be hands-on.

The selected candidate will be compensated in par with industry standards based on qualifications and experience. He/she will be reporting directly to the factory manager.
