Manager – Solar Engineering

Educational & Professional Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering / mechanical engineering / renewable energy engineering from a UGC-recognized university in Sri Lanka or an equivalent foreign qualification.
2. Associate membership of IESL will be an added advantage.
3. Postgraduate qualification in renewable energy, engineering management, or project management will be an added advantage.
4. Valid SEASL-recognized technical competency or prior involvement in SEASL licensing processes will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

1. Minimum 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in the solar PV / renewable energy sector or as an electrical engineer in a recognized institute in Sri Lanka.
2. At least 3-5 years’ experience in a managerial or senior supervisory capacity.
3. Proven hands-on experience in:
4. SEASL annual license renewal submissions and compliance documentation.
5. Type approval process for inverters and solar panels with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Sri Lanka (SEASL).
6. CEB / LECO net metering, net accounting, and net plus documentation and approvals.
7. Prior experience in handling CEB/LECO clearances, estimates, and utility coordination for rooftop and bulk solar projects.
