Assistant Lecturer | Lecturer – Business Analytics

KIU University invites applications from dynamic and motivated individuals to join the Department of Decision Science as a Lecturer (Probationary) / Assistant Lecturer in Business Analytics. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about developing analytical, data-driven graduates equipped for modern business environments.

Key responsibilities

1. Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate programmes
2. Develop lesson plans aligned with programme learning outcomes (PLOs/ILOs)
3. Engage students through case studies and real-world datasets
4. Supervise undergraduate research projects and internships
5. Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance activities
6. Participate in faculty academic and administrative activities

Areas of expertise

1. Business analytics & decision science
2. Data science & data analytics
3. Artificial intelligence (AI) applications in business
4. Machine learning for business contexts
5. Business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
6. Statistical analysis for decision making
7. Python / R / SQL for data analysis
8. Operations research / optimization techniques

Qualifications & requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree with first class or second class upper division in a relevant field
2. Master’s degree in a relevant field (required for lecturer (probationary) level)
3. Academic or industry experience in analytics, AI/ML, or business intelligence is preferred
4. Teaching, training, or mentoring experience will be an added advantage
5. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
