Associate lawyer

We are seeking a lawyer to join our litigation team. The lawyer will be responsible for supporting the managing principle and other senior lawyers of the law practice related to civil litigation, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, participating in client meetings, and assisting in case preparation and strategy development. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney and hold a notarial license in English. The role also requires willingness to appear in outstation courts as necessary. The lawyer will also be able to conduct conveyancing work independently.

Key responsibilities

  1. Collaborate within the litigation team to handle complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Independently manage client correspondence and provide sound legal advice.
  3. Engage with contractors, clients, and third parties, ensuring professionalism and strong communication.

Required qualifications

  1. Strong written and oral communication skills in English, with a focus on precision and professionalism.
  2. Analytical skills and sound judgment to contribute effectively to case strategies.
  3. Working knowledge of criminal law procedures, especially experience in appearing at magistrates’ courts, is a plus.
  4. Interpersonal skills that enable effective teamwork and collaboration within the litigation team.
  5. Legal research, legal drafting, and case preparation skills.
  6. Knowledge of civil litigation and commercial law.
  7. Bar association membership and a company secretarial license is a plus.
  8. Conveyancing experience.
