Team leader – real estate operations (night shift)

Role overview

We’re not hiring a coordinator—we’re hiring someone who can own delivery.

The team leader will oversee day-to-day operations, staff performance, and project execution within a real estate support environment, ensuring high-quality output for international clients (lenders). This role requires a balance of people management, process control, and hands-on operational involvement.

Key responsibilities

1. Team management & delivery

  1. Supervise and manage a team handling real estate documentation and reporting
  2. Allocate tasks effectively and ensure deadlines are consistently met
  3. Monitor team productivity, accountability, and performance metrics

2. Quality control & process compliance

  1. Ensure all outputs meet defined quality standards and client expectations
  2. Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions
  3. Maintain consistency in property report preparation and documentation

3. Operational execution

  1. Oversee title document research using online platforms
  2. Ensure accurate preparation of property reports for lenders
  3. Handle escalations and complex cases when required

4. Training & development

  1. Guide and mentor junior staff to improve performance
  2. Work closely with senior leadership to build team capability
  3. Support onboarding and continuous learning initiatives

5. Administrative & reporting

  1. Manage documentation, data entry, and workflow tracking
  2. Prepare performance and operational reports for management
  3. Ensure proper record-keeping and compliance

Key requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any field
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role
  3. Background in real estate / property documentation / BPO / mortgage processing is a strong advantage
  4. Strong knowledge of title research and property documentation (preferred)
  5. Excellent communication skills in English, Sinhala, and Tamil
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  7. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  8. Ability to work night shifts consistently
  9. Proven ability to handle pressure, deadlines, and team dynamics

  5. Error reduction and process improvement
