Assistant manager – elastic weaving

About the company

Best Pacific Textiles Lanka (Pvt) Limited is a joint venture between Brandix Group & Best Pacific International Holdings Ltd., a Hong Kong listed company & the leader in synthetic fabric and elastic supplied for branded clothing. We are manufacturing synthetic fabrics and elastics for direct & indirect exports to our end customers in Europe and USA.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage all operations of the elastic weaving department to ensure smooth and efficient production.
2. Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve set targets.
3. Ensure all outputs meet required quality standards and customer specifications.
4. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely machine servicing and minimize downtime.
5. Monitor machine utilization and optimize production efficiency.
6. Assign duties to team members and closely monitor employee performance.
7. Lead and supervise team members, ensuring discipline and productivity.
8. Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
9. Prepare and review production reports and maintain accurate records.

Skill profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in textile engineering or an equivalent qualification in related field.
2. 5-7 years of experience in the textile industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
3. Knowledge of elastic weaving machines and processes, with experience in maintenance coordination, troubleshooting, and basic textile manufacturing operations.
4. Strong attention to detail with good record-keeping and documentation skills.
5. Computer literacy in MS Office package.
6. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
8. Strong leadership and team management skills.
