Interior Designer

Key responsibilities

1. Utilize knowledge of hospitality furniture and technology, and custom furniture and lighting solutions, finishes, materials, color selections, and ID specifications.
2. Produce furniture plans, specifications, material selections and schedules needed for construction documentation independently or with minimal supervision.
3. Participate in the selection of furniture systems and specifications.
4. Specify products and materials.
5. Specify equipment, materials, and supplies required for the completion and implementation of the projects.
6. Create and present materials to executive management for internal and external events.
7. Manage the interior design process for an entire project consistent with project’s program, budget and time constraints.
8. Perform professional architectural design and project management for construction projects.
9. Coordinate project teams in the progress of architectural design and construction drawings, interior design drawings, specifications, schedule, cost estimates and project reports.
10. Develop technical specifications for construction projects.

Qualifications

1. A degree or diploma in interior design or related field.
2. Minimum of 02 – 05 years experience in the same settings.
3. Ability to develop 3D visualization and project management experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp or similar design software.
4. Effective communication skills in both English and Sinhala. Tamil language will be an added advantage.
