Sales executive – travel & leisure

We are seeking a dynamic sales professional to drive bookings through the travel trade. You will work closely with DMCs, travel agents, and tour operators to secure group and leisure bookings while expanding our partner network. This role suits a highly motivated individual with strong industry connections and a passion for converting relationships into revenue.

Key responsibilities

  1. Develop and manage relationships with local DMCs and travel agents.
  2. Conduct regular sales visits and client meetings across key markets.
  3. Perform telesales outreach to generate new business opportunities.
  4. Organise and conduct site inspections for agents and partners.
  5. Negotiate rates and packages in line with company strategy.
  6. Maintain a strong pipeline of travel trade partners and bookings.
  7. Work closely with reservations and operations to ensure seamless booking execution.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in travel, hospitality, or leisure sector sales.
  2. Strong network with DMCs, travel agents, or tour operators in Sri Lanka.
  3. Ability to generate and convert leads into confirmed bookings.
  4. Confident in client handling, presentations, and negotiations.
  5. Self-driven, target-oriented, and willing to travel frequently.
  6. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
