Assistant Product Manager

Monik Trading Pvt Ltd is seeking an Assistant Product Manager to analyze market trends and manage product categories. The role focuses on driving profitability, maintaining competitiveness, and overseeing end-to-end performance of brands like Walton along with other global and internal labels. The position requires strong analytical skills and commercial decision making to boost overall business success.

Responsibilities

1. PSI mastery: prepare and monitor rigorous PSI reports and demand forecasts to ensure business continuity.
2. Inventory optimization: maintain lean and efficient inventory levels, ensuring we never miss a sale due to stock-outs or carry dead stock.
3. Strategic sourcing: lead vendor negotiations to secure the best possible pricing, credit terms, and margins.
4. Market intelligence: conduct deep-dive market research and competitor benchmarking to keep our pricing and product mix ahead of the curve.
5. Category growth: identify new product opportunities and execute strategies to improve the performance of our world-class brand portfolio.

Requirements

1. Minimum 2+ years of proven experience in category, product, or brand management specifically within the consumer electronics or FMCG industry (mandatory).
2. Advanced expertise in Excel-based analysis and PSI modeling. You should be comfortable turning complex data into actionable strategies.
3. Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar) is highly preferred.
4. A natural negotiator with the ability to build strong relationships with international and local suppliers.
5. A degree in business, finance, or marketing. Professional qualifications such as CIM or SLIM are a distinct advantage.
