We are currently looking for a high performing assistant manager/ senior sales executive- sales & marketing to manage existing customers and develop new business with potential customers in western & southern regions of the country. Also the applicant should have the ability to work under minimal supervision. This position is ideally suited for a person living in Colombo or surrounding area and willing to travel frequently to some parts of southern province for customer visits. You will serve as the face of Sanichem for your customers, providing recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes and programs to create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments and drive a positive cleaning experience.

What you will do

  1. Maintain and grow sales of, food service, hospitality, laundry, commercial & industrial accounts, providing customers with sales demos, regular service, and ongoing hands-on product and solution training.
  2. Effectively manage sales functions which include relationship management of customers.
  3. Cold call and prospect to secure new accounts as you build Sanichem brand in all market segments.
  4. Manage pricing and contract negotiations, introduction of new products, coordination of meetings and project follow-up.
  5. Gather market intelligence as it relates to key accounts, applications, formulations and pricing.
  6. Maintain the highest level of professional, inclusive and respective work environment.
  7. Complete sales reports accurately and timely.

Preferred qualifications

  1. Strong sales/marketing presentation skills. Confident and driven to be the best.
  2. Willingness to travel as significant part of the job involves frequent travelling to visit customers.
  3. Preferably residing in Colombo or Kalutara.
  4. Sound structured value add sales & marketing experience (B2B). Knowledge of hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
  5. Strong communication skills (verbal / written in English). Ability to influence and persuade.
  6. Flexibility, leadership, independence.
  7. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  8. Willing to be on call during off hours and during weekend coverage.
  9. Valid riding & driving licence. Owning a bike or car would be an added advantage.
